Requesting an Interlibrary Loan

Please do not reqeust an Interlibrary Loan item unless you have already searched for the book in our catalog and were unable to obtain a copy that way.

You may request up to six (6) items through Interlibrary Loan at one time.

Please allow up to eight (8) weeks for your request.


There is a $3.00 postage charge for each ILL request, that must be paid the day that you pick up the item. ILLs are held at the Audio/Visual desk inside the library for 10 days after you are notified.

ILLs are checked out for 21 days and cannot be renewed. There is a $5.00 fine for failure to pick up your ILL within the 10 day hold period. Overdue fines are $1.00 per day.

Request Instructions

To place an Interlibrary Loan request online, use the following instructions. ILLs can also be requested by calling the library.

Click on the "WorldCat Discovery" logo below.

This will take you to the WorldCat Discovery page. You may then search by title, author, keyword, etc. Click on "Advanced Search" if you would like to search with mulitple filters.

Requests for materials with a copyright date of less than 6 months, any ematerials, or any Audio/Visual materials (CDs, CD-Books, DVDs, Blu-Rays) will not be processed.

When you have typed in the information for the item you want, hit enter or click on the magnifying glass. This will bring up a list of possibilities based on your search criteria. One the left-hand side, you will see filters to limit your search even further. Click on the title of the item you would like to request.

Click on the "Request Item" button, fill in the appropriate information, and click "Submit".

Our ILL Department will receive a copy of your request and process it from there. Once we have recieved the item, we will contact you to let you know it has arrived!
