BOOKMARKS BOUTIQUE 
Used books, National Geographic and Arizona Highways magazines may be purchased from the Bookmarks Friends of the Library group. 
 
BOOKS ON CD AND TAPE
The library has a selection of unabridged books on CD and on audiocassette. Playaways and downloadable audio books are also available through the Yavapai Library Network.

CHILDREN'S SERVICES
Besides the books, DVDs, videocassettes and other audiovisual materials, the library offers children's programs including age groups from babies to teens. Contact the Youth Services department for more information (928) 340-2788.
 
COMPUTERS
The library has computers for our patrons use.  Non-residents and visitors to our area over the age of eighteen may use a guest card obtained from the Reference Desk free of charge.  Children under 18 years of age have access to computers in the Youth Services area with a valid library card.
 
DVDS
The Library has a large collection of films, documentaries, biographies, children's movies and how-to's on DVD.
 
FAX SERVICES
National fax services are available for $1.00 per page.
 
FINES
Books in our general collection are ten cents per day, audio/visual items and new  books are also ten  cents per day per item. Interlibrary Loan books are $1.00 a day and all items have a $10.00 maximum fine. 
 
HOLDS
Holds may be placed online, in person or over the phone. Holds are limited to 50 per customer.

INTERLIBRARY LOAN SERVICES
Books not owned by the Yavapai Library Network may be borrowed from other libraries. There is a limit of 6 requests at any one time. If an item is not picked up, a $5.00 fee will be assessed. Allow at least 8 weeks for delivery. The patron will be responsible for the postage fee up to, but not to exceed, $3.00.

INTERNET
The Library is the gateway to the information highway. As technology develops, so will public access to worldwide information resources. The library provides public access to the Internet. The Library also offers wireless services.
 
LARGE PRINT BOOKS
The library has a large selection of popular fiction and non-fiction books available in large print.
 
LIBRARY CARDS
Cards are free to all residents of Yavapai County. Cards are available to Non-residents that are visiting this area with a refundable deposit of $10.00.
 
LOAN PERIOD
Three weeks for books in the general collection. Two weeks for new books. Three weeks for CDs, audio books, videos and DVDs.  All items can be renewed up to three times as long as there is not a hold on the item. 

MAGAZINES/NEWSPAPERS
We have many magazine titles covering a variety of interests.  We also receive the local newspapers, the Arizona Republic, the Wall Street Journal and USA Today.
 
MEETING ROOM
The Library has one meeting room available for not for profit groups. It is available during normal business hours Monday through Saturday.  To book a meeting room, call (928) 340-2782.  Prior to any meeting, the booking must be confirmed by completion of a meeting room reservation form at the Library. Meetings must be open to the public at no charge to those attending and may be held only during the time the library is open.  Private, commercial activities are not allowed and City Code prohibits alcoholic beverages in public buildings. These provisions may be waived for Library-sponsored, Library-related, City and County meetings and events. To the extent possible, meeting room users will return tables and chairs to their original locations.

PHOTOCOPYING
A photocopy machine is located at the main Circulation Desk. Volunteers are happy to make copies for you. Black and white copies are ten cents each for 8.5 x 11 sheets. Color copies are twenty-five cents per page and double sided copies are fifteen cents per page. 

REFERENCE SERVICES
Reference service is available at the Service Desk or by telephone. Encyclopedias, dictionaries, phone-books, building codes and investment information are all available.
 
REQUESTS/HOLDS
Requests may be placed online, in person, or over the phone. Requests are limited to 25 per customer.

SOUTHWEST COLLECTION
The library has a special collection of books on Arizona and the Southwest including materials on the Verde Valley, Jerome, Sedona and the surrounding area.
 
SPANISH COLLECTION
The library has a variety of materials in Spanish for all ages available for checkout.

STUDY ROOMS
Study Rooms are available on a first come-first served basis and have a maximum capacity of 2 people.  The rooms are furnished with 2 chairs and 1 small table and are available on any day the library is open.   To sign up for a room just stop by the Reference Desk.

TALKING BOOKS
For persons who are visually impaired, the State Library provides tapes and machines by direct mail at no charge. Replaceable machines are available at the library.  Regular books on CD and cassette are also available.
 
TAX FORMS
Reproducible Arizona and Federal tax forms are available in the library. To get forms online, visit these websites;

TEEN SERVICES
We have books, movies and graphic novels for junior high and high school students. Services include computers, programs, class visits, tours and volunteer opportunities. Contact the Youth Services department to find out more information or to schedule a visit. (928) 340-2788.

TOPOGRAPHICAL MAPS
We have topigraphical maps of Arizona, for in-house use only.
 
VIDEOCASSETTES
The library has "how to" and other non-fiction video cassettes shelved in the Audio/Visual Department.  There is also a collection of classic films, Agatha Christie mysteries, and many others.
 
VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES
Shelving, Checking books in and out, covering/mending books and reading shelves, are some of the opportunities available to volunteers.
 
WORD PROCESSING
The library has computers with Microsoft Office available for public use. There is a printing charge of 10 cents per black and white page.
