Cottonwood Bookmarks – Friends of the Library
was founded in 1971 as a non-profit group continuing to this day to fulfill its purpose:
  • Stimulate public support for the Library
  • Arouse interest in Library services
  • Encourage the use of the Library as a source of information and education
  • Raise funds for the Library
Membership is open to anyone wishing to support and engage in activities which will generate financial support for Library services not included in the city budget. Annual membership dues are $10.00 and a lifetime membership is available for $75.00. Currently, there are more than 360 members. Membership applications are available in the Book Boutique and at any Library circulation desk.
Your membership entitles you to a 50% discount on all gently read books offered in our Boutique.  Books of all genres, from paperbacks to colorful coffee table editions are displayed for your selection. More importantly, your membership helps support reading programs for children, teens and adults as you participate in the Cottonwood Public Library’s vision for the future.
To further enhance the value of your membership, we urge you to consider volunteering with Bookmarks by joining one of our committees:
  • Fundraising – increasing income for on-going and special projects
  • Public Relations – messaging to the community
  • Boutique Work Group – sorting, pricing and shelving books in our Boutique

If you would like to join one of these committees, please email and one of our Board members will contact you to discuss available opportunities.
